How Do I Skip The Checksum Error Whenever I Start Up My Laptop?
Q. Everytime I start my laptop I get the cheksum error and it is asking me to either choose F5(default Bios) or F6 to continue. Is my laptop corrupted? Its really annoying sometimes and takes some time. My laptop specs: 2.1GHZ Core duo 1GbRAM MS Win Vista. I appreciate any help.

Try setting your FSB to 132 or 134…something like that, and see if it retains the settings. Try a few Mhz either side of 133.
You might need to also reflash your BIOS with the most current from your computer maker.
Try changing the system or CMOS batter on motherboard and set boot sequence in BIOS accordingly.
Good Luck.

If you are comfortable enough enter the BIOS and you have to reconfigure so the system is set and will boot up normally. Not sure? ask your friendly neighborhood geek.
