How Do You Deal With Error 81000306 When Signing Into Windows Live Messenger?

Q. I’ve been trying to sign in to windows live messenger for a while, but I always get this error. I’ve tried disabling my firewall, and following all the steps on their tech support page, but it still doesn’t work. Any ideas?
