Can An Ati Graphic Card Go With Intel Chipset?

Q. I’m planing to built a computer, I want to buy the Intel’s new CPUs i7 965 Extreme Edition, so I’ll have to go with the Extreme Motherboard X58 DX58SO, but if I use an Intel chipset, then can it be compatible with the ATI Radeon 4870X2? If there is an Intel chipset for that motherboard that support ATI card, than please tell me! Thank you!

don’t listen to the other guy. if you pick up an X58 yes you can use a 4870×2 but you can not crossfire / xfire the board because the new x58 is SLI compatible not Crossfire compatible.

You need a CROSSFIRE setup.Search for motherboards that support it.
