How Do I Fix My Seagate External Hard Drive That Keeps Freezing Up And Stops Responding?

Q. I just bought a Seagate 320g external and was sorting the music on it when it froze and the screen went crazy, it also affected my desktop. I’ve only had it for 3 days. Any help would be great.

My brother and I have the same problem – we bought two Seagate 320G external HDs didn’t drop the hard drive, or overuse it, but in less than two weeks, it froze and affected our desktops.
I did some research online and found that other people are experiencing similar problems.
If you can return/exchange the hard drive, you should do so.

Take it back to the store and get an exchange. There isn’t a way to “fix” a bad hard drive.

Did you by any chance drop it? if u have then u are so unlucky.. Go get it fixed. Once its spoilt there no way to repare it unless u get a professional. So next time be more careful with your HardDrives.
