How Do I Get Files Off My Western Digital Backup Drive Without The Restore Point?

Q. I have a Western Digital Backup Drive and when I backup my files, it creates a restore point. Now, when I delete the restore point, it wont let me restore my files, which means if my computer crashes or I need to reformat, I can’t restore my files. Unless I’m missing something, how do I restore my files without the restore point?
Thanks,
William Dagmar

Just backup the restore point and data on some backup online spot like Mozy – http://glowicki.pl/03/16/hard-drive-data… they are really sae and perfectly working.

Have you tried configuring the drive to work without restore points? Also, does it give you any error messages when you try to restore files or copy files; if so, what are they?
*edit*: Try formatting and installing a backup program on the drive, also.
