    Use AVG Free Edition.
Not only that it is free, but it contains many tools such as antivirus, antispyware, antimalware, etc.

It sounds like TDSS trojan, I had recently. It blocks most online scanner sites. Download SDFix from here if you can: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/sdfix.php

If not, do a Google search then click on “cached” instead of the usual link. Or download it from another computer and save to a thumb drive. Go into Safe Mode and run the install and the program from there. It found all traces on my computer.

Once it’s done download and install Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware from here: http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button

    to clean more traces.

If you can’t run SDFix, or Anti-Malware, go to the Malwarebytes folder in the Program Files, copy all the files to a new folder called MAM in the root directory….. C:MAM Then in that folder rename the file MBAM.exe to something else like MAM.exe and double click it – it should run now.

    Good Luck !

Get Spybot: Search & Destroy and CCleaner from Download.com.

AV software is usually very poor at removing spyware.

You are infected with spyware if:

    * You see too much pop-up advertisements.
    * Your browser has toolbars that you haven’t installed.
    * Your homepage has changed (and you can’t change it back).
    * Other settings have changed without your permission.
    * Your computer is slow.

To get rid of spyware and keep your computer clean you can use an antispyware or even more.
You can download a antispyware software. There are 10 good anti-spywares.
    here is the reviews:http://toptenantispywareviews.com/

You can download one and scan your system.
All are safe and can be trusted.
