I have a western digital external harddrive 80 gb and now everything is gone on there when i hooked it up to?

Q. I have a western digital external harddrive 80 gb and now everything is gone on there when i hooked it up to a new laptop i got with vista it ran a scan and deleted everything and said my files are in a folder called found . I do not see that folder and i see i have only 35 gb left so i know my files have to be on there somewhere can someoone help

    Maybe it is a hidden folder. Go to folder option and enable show hidden files.

    first problem is Vista i think, I tryed it, nothing but problems, and also like the other guy said ,try to enable hidden files so they show…what type of scan did it run? i upgraded from XP to Vista and lost alot of things, in my opinion Vista is horrible, only thing that was sorta nice is the looks..
