Should the iPhone 3G home button make a clicking noise when pressed?

Q. Hi, I have used an itouch and notice that when you press the home button there is a soft clicking noise and a very noticeable click. On my iPhone there is a slight clicking sensation, but no sound. Is it supposed to be this way?

I think so, maybe it will be more nice if there’s a sound or vibration or backlight change every touch, turned a little difference from the normal.
