What’s The Difference Between Nvidia Graphics Cards?
Q. I am not very knowledgeable on this, but I can see no difference between the Nvidia GTX 280 XT and the Nvidia GTX 285 Black that warrants an extra £90 for the 285. Anyone care to explain this to me?

From what I saw, there wasn’t much difference between the two.
chipset core clock was slightly higher for the 285 – from 50Mhz – 100Mhz depending on model.
The memory clock was higher by about 400Mhz on the 285
The 285 I looked at has an HDMI port.
If you’re not entirely concerned about those numbers, go with the cheaper one. I dont think that much of a difference warrents the extra £90. The 280 will be able to play any game you throw at it anyways. My 260 plays crysis on full.
