When It Comes To External Hard Drives, Which Is Better Seagate Or Western Digital?

Q. So far I have had both seagate and western digital. I recently bought a western digital 1tb and I can’t move many files to it all at once. Im considering buying a seagate 1tb, since I have had my other seagate forever and had no problems, but I have had problems with both western digitals. Would you consider seagate the better option, or are there better hard drives than both?

I have both brands and am happy with them. Pick the one with the longest manufacturer’s warranty.

I’ve had a seagate 320gb for over a year which has never caused me any problems, even when I abuse it by pulling out the wrong plug while it’s running. i am continuously read/writing to it large video files and video project files.
I’ve never tried western digital so can’t comment on their reliability.
