How do I get my Linux program to boot off the cd from start up?

Q. I just downloaded the Mepis version of Linux to a Cd. When I restart my computer it just turns back on the way it normally does, and doesnt load the Linuz application. How can I get this to work? (I have other versions of Linux on Cd’s that load on start up just fine)…please help me out!

you need to go into your bios and set the cd rom as first boot device

Look when your computer is booting and you will have to hit like f3 or something like that and it will open bios. Then you can change the boot sequence and you make your cdrom boot first.
