I bought the 250 GB Harddrive Western Digital Serial ATA sata. Is there a way to use it for a laptop?

Q. I accidentally got the “250 GB Harddrive Western Digital Serial ATA sata”, thinking it was an external hard drive. I would like to use it for my personal laptop, though. I am not computer savvy, but if you know a way to plug it in and be used as an external hard drive for the laptop, that would be great.

you need an ‘external enclosure’…the drive goes into that, and it connects to a laptop or pc via usb cable…they are relatively cheap

Why not return it for what you want. Newegg lets return. Some others do too.
