    3D Mark

    Future Mark

    Folding @ Home

I would recommend folding at home as it is a great way to test your graphics card and you are helping society.

Btw, FPS vary from game to game, so its not like “O hey, my card get 40 FPS in 3D Mark, I guess I get 40 FPS in everything”

depending on what graphics card and system you have now. I’ve always used 3D Mark 2001 SE to test my systems, four different computers, one test. in my opinion the best way to see a difference. alternatively, use a “benchmark” game that may have difficulty running on an older system you may have and compare the FPS to the newer system you have. I use: Deus Ex, Half Life 2, Counter Strike 1.6 (with full custom extremely high poly count skins), and Counter Strike Source.
