What will happen if I backup my jailbroken ipod to itunes?

Q. I want to know what will happen if I backup my jailbroken ipod to itunes and do a restore on it. I’m doing this so I can update it to the 2.0 version

I understand that the restore will remove everything on it and put it like brand new but will the backup have all of my songs, videos, and everything else in there?

If you back up your jailbroken ipod, nothing really is going to happen. I woudl suggest just to re-jailbeak it with quickpwn and then start over. If you want a non-jailbroken ipod, I suggest that you do not back up you r ipod to uyour computer because that backup may change your ipod to become jailbroken again. I never ried it but thsi is my prediction. I wouyld just jailbreak teh ipod and start a new synch and not with a back up. This is what I did with my Iphone 2g.
