    Chalk shows up better. You get a nice thick line with lots of contrast.

    yes they use chalk. probably because expo pens and other such whiteboard pens run out of ink or get ruined very fast and easily.

    In 1909 , we still use blackboard, and we had a lot great scientists in this time. We use in 2009, why not ?
    So I think chalkboards is OK. It ‘s more attentions than others tech this day.

    Same here. Writings on chalkboards are a bit easier to see, for one psychological reason or another.

    Shame that I can’t see what the prof is doing in IDLE, the assignments and google make up for it though.

    I’m in Canada and apparently UfT teaches excellently as well.

    I found the prof funny, MIT must be filled with nerds.

    SAT is not everything,especially for college like MIT

    I got a 2060 on the SAT. All three of the kids who got into MIT from my graduating class (09) had a lower SAT score than me. 2 were asian 1 was black.

    I would recommend SICP, although because this course is more focused on getting you up to speed quicker it may offer faster “results”, although there is definitely something lost in the trade off.

    are u kidding? SAT 2000 for MIT?
    I have many friends with 2300+ SAT and a lot of EC(they are Chinese tho)
    but none of them got into MIT
