How can i make my seagate external drive work on my Ps3?

Q. the ps3 is not recognizing the drive and when i convert it to fat32 it cuts my 1TB down to half or how can i convert without losing the extra gigs?

    You can’t format a partition larger than 32 Gigs. using Windows XP or Windows Vista. What you need to do is format the 1 TB drive in DOS, using the CMD window. Once you have a DOS box open in Windows type the following:

    format /FS:FAT32 X:

    X: above is what your drive letter is to be formatted. Now it will format your drive fully as FAT32. However of course 1 TB is only about 935 GB formatted.
