How to backup a netbook without cd drive?
Q. I recently found out that i need to send my netbook back for the warranty. They are going to delete everything on it. But i want so save whole programs. I don’t have a cd drive but i DO have an external hard drive. Is there any free program that will completely backup everything?

Just connect the external hard drive & drag & drop your current hard drive to it.
Agree with previous poster… external hard-drive if you have access to one. Another good option could be to use something like Dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/ (free, if you have under 2 gigs of data) or an online back-up solution like Mozy http://mozy.com/.
You can use Dropbox or Mozy if you have up to 2GB of data. See the comparison between Dropbox and Moxy here:

If you have more data, you can use one of the following free services:
GoAruna (unlimited space): http://www.ilovefreesoftware.com/24/webware/online-storage/goaruna-free-unlimited-online-storage-and-backup-space.html
ADrive (50 GB): http://www.ilovefreesoftware.com/02/webware/adrive-free-50gb-online-storage-and-backup-space.html
Put everything you want to save on the external drive
if you want to backup everything like original, you ould build a ghost image for disk. (dont need build system image, warranty will build up a new system).
Or just simply copy all folder to your extern driver.
