how to zero fill a western digital 80gb hard disk?

Q. actually some days ago my hard disk is not booting for os,and in boot menu it is showing 6 gb only instead of having 80 gb.Is the drive is reusable by any method.my one friend told me that zero filling is a option and if yes then please tell me that where i found the dm for western digital wd800jd sata drive.

    Zero filing is overwriting the data. Use Eraser.

    Try reinstalling the operating system, XP. Vista, etc. At the prompt to partition the drive, delete all current partitions and create a new NTSP one using the entire drive.
