I own a acer aspire 5315 yet I know nothing about laptops but I wanna play the sims 3. Will my laptop be able to run the game?

Then pick “The Sims 3″ from the drop down list and it will tell you if you could run it or not. Trustworthy site.
It will play but will probably be low quality and slow, not enjoyable. Alot of people get pcs to play these games but must remember a game requires hardware to produce the graphics and most pcs bought from stores are just simple family pcs with no gaming potential. Pay a little more for a graphics card in the laptop and you’ll play it just fine.
