Is it just personal preference on whether a toshiba qosmio is better than a hp hdx?

I am trying to buy a new laptop but am having a difficult choice on the model. They both have c2d 2.4gz processor and 4gb of ram. Performance wise they are practically the same so would just like other peoples opinions

Toshiba has a good reputation of customer service. If it’s not heaps more expensive, go for that one.
Depends on if you wish to upgrade down the road. HP white lists wireless cards, but is easy to upgrade memory and HDD. Toshiba tends to require more screw removal to upgrade. Customer support is pretty much the same for both.
