Just start a small one with some friends. ask a community center to let u play the songs u made up.
Joining a band is easy. Also, instead of joining one, you can always start one. There are various ways like newspaper ads, asking friends to ask friends, hang out at your local jamming studio, internet forums and more.. And yes, if u plan to go far in music, you MUST have a manager. It shows how serious you are and a manager can help sort all the paperworks and marketing strategies for you while you concentrate on you music compositions and networking.
A keyboard player is a very essential member in a band, heck i won’t mind having one in my band right now.
