What can microsoft office do in terms of programming?

Patty asks,
I need to select nozzles for different flow rates, pressures and hose size. I was wondering if Microsoft office has the ability to do repetitive tasks that would help with this. If I was at still at uni i would probably write a C program, but I’m a bit limited with the programs i can use at work. I would need to be able to search a database of items, select the ones that meet the criteria, then read off a table to find hole sizes for each jet in a nozzle. Is this something a program in Microsoft Office can do?

I use to use EXCEL from the MS Offfice suite to do multiple variable equations for both costing and problems similar to what you describe.

I also used EXCEL to plot flow rate tables.
