Why when using firefox am i not able to watch videos but i can with internet explorer?

baz asks,
When i try to watch videos in firefox it says that i need to downlaod plugin and when i try to it doesnt do it. However, it works fine when im using internet explorer. The only problem is when watching a video, half way through, my wireless connection stops working and i will need to retsart my laptop. I thought maybe using firefox would fix this, but this time i cant open the video at all.

You just need to install Adobe in Firefox. There should be a direct link when it says to install the add-on. Should work perfectly fine once all said and done.

Do you mean when trying to watch flash videos from sites such as YouTube, DailyMotion, MetaCafe, etc..? You may need to try using the stand-alone flash-player installer.

Sometimes when trying to update flash online through the Adobe website, the installation doesn’t quite work properly, even though it says it’s successful that’s not always the case.

I suggest to try the stand-alone installers.

For FireFox browser, use this link:
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_firefox/

For IE browser, use this link:
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_ie/

After downloading these file(s) to your computer, close your browsers before installing. Once you re-start your browsers, hopefully this would have fixed the problem.

Windows OS has a problem of using too much Ram. When you watch a video using your browser, it has a problem of not streaming and this limits the Bandwith of the video. Quicktime is a video browser, Windows Media Player etc. A Media Player is necessary for watching online media, as they do not limit streaming, as a Browser does, and some of the options are not as good as the Media Player applications

Firefox won’t let you open any videos. You only can open them in internet explorer. Firefox is kinda a security web.

Guess what?: I just had the same Problem on Yahoo News. I had no pitchure and not sound and I briefly check out the trouble shooter web and others and I came across some thing about a newer version of some sort and it said to hit the refresher arrows, which are on the very top right corner of the video screen, so I did. Guess “What” Now It;s Working “Hurray, Hurra and Whatever. O What the Heck!, “Hurra Once Again”.
