How do I get ipod touch firmware onto my ipod after downloaded from a website other than itunes?

It would only work if you jailbreak your ipod. To get your ipod back to 3.1 sync it onto your computer and click reset data or something like that it will say in subscript “I am having trouble with my ipod after I have updated it” That should get rid of it.

It won’t work. When Apple released 3.1.3, they stopped signing 3.1.2 and lower. So don’t try to put it on. I already did and got a slew of error messages.
