What are the best anti- virus/internet security/anti- malware programs?

Shaddy S asks,
don’t say either norton or avg.
ok firstly i mean it don’t say avg or norton “professionals” are subject to payments made by major corporations such as Grisoft and Symantec.

I’ve tried both, they’re hopeless.

Thanks for the rest of you guys though!

    neither :P

they both can use big improofments.
    Nod32 i find quite good.
    But i found ad-aware better.
    but avg, sucks.
norton is acceptable but has some issues.

I do know the best/annoying firewall there is.
Its comodo firewall. At least, it was since i last checked few months ago.

    nod32(anti-virus), ad-aware(anti-malware), comodo(firewall)

Actually, I suffered from the same problem just a few weeks ago. Ever since I solved it, I’ve been doing weekly check-ups on my computer for viruses.

Lavasoft has a anti-spyware/malware program called “Ad-Aware.” The new anniversary edition download is here: http://lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_fr...

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware also works extremely nicely. Download that if you can.

Also, most Windows computers come with a free service called McAfee. There is a built in virus scan with the program. Use that to check for and get rid of viruses.

Last but not least, if you have a Windows Vista, use Windows Defender to scan and cure your computer for any harmful software.

    Hope this helps!
