Q: When i try to install a norton product i have purchased i get the error "download already complete". Setup then fails.

Thanks! I called Symantec and they wanted to charge me $40 to fix the problem for me. I didn't want to pay that, and I was getting ready to reinstall the operating system. Thanks again!

I tried this and get a new error message when I install the cleandownload.exe executable. The message say: " Error occurred in cleanup".

It doesn't resilve the problem...
When I try install Norton internet security 2008--> 'Downloaded already complete ' and with the cleandownload.exe-->Error occurred in cleanup. PS. : The cleandownload.exe available on the Norton's site is for Windows 2000 and XP, it is the same for vista? |

Run the Cleanup-program as administrator and set Compabiltity as Windows XP service pack 2 if you have Vista.
