A neat little program to check multiple email accounts with one click. Useful for anybody but especially for people who hate logging onto multiple websites, or people who travel a lot.

ePrompter - checking multiple emails accounts with one click

ePrompter

ePrompter is one of the neat little programs that I have been using since it was released (approx since 2000). In short, ePrompter is a little program (installed it's about 1mb small) which lets you view your email messages from multiple email accounts in one click. You can set the program to check every 5 mins or more, select which emails are spam, reply to emails, compose emails, forward emails and more without even having to open your main email client.

It's just nice little program which speeds up your email handling and keeps you updated with what is in your email accounts.

Feature's explained

-Composing, replying and forwarding
You can do all of the above, but it does not store the emails you forward/reply/compose.

-ePrompter Address book
ePrompter also features an address book. Although you can send messages through this program, it is not meant to take the place of a full-featured email client.

-Schedule
When your computer is online, ePrompter retrieves email at intervals determined by you, updating the ePrompter screens and icon accordingly. Additionally, you can manually update all of your email accounts or an individual account at any time.

When your computer is offline, ePrompter's autodial feature can automatically dial up an online connection to retrieve your email and update the notifications accordingly.

-Notification
When ePrompter checks for new emails, a sound of your choosing (or just use the default sounds) will alert you to new emails. There is also a neat screensaver option that comes with ePrompter. Although I personally never use screensavers like this, it is a nice little feature. The screensaver will show you all your email accounts and if they have new emails or not.

ePrompter supports many email accounts

I have tried ePrompter with many different email accounts over the years like hotmail, gmail, yahoo, gmx.net and mostly with my own domain names. And they all worked perfectly! If a certain email provider does not work with ePrompter it will usually get fixed with the next fix.

ePrompter supports AIM, AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, POP3, Earthlink, Excite, Juno, Lycos, Mail.com, Mindspring, MSN, MyWay, Netscape, Rediffmail,  and many more email domain names.

Conclusion

In short, this is a very usual program. Easy to install, setup and use. Although this program is useful for everybody I would recommend it to people who hate logging into all their email accounts and checking their email, and especially people who travel a lot.

A negative note: ePrompter is getting a little bit behind on fixing problems with certain email providers (SSL problems), but they are trying to fix it.
