Q. I have a working ADSL modem, and it able to connect to internet successfully.

Now, I have another ADSL modem, but I am not going to connect it to the internet. Instead, I use it as a router. I use a lan cable to connect the two modems together. Then I connect the second modem to my laptop.

However, it doesn’t work. My laptop not able to connect to the internet.

What is the setting shall I make in the second modem, in order for my laptop to connect to internet in the situation above?

Q. i would like to set my computer up to be a server in my network,so i ran network setup wizard from control panel. But when i choose “This computer connect directly to the internet, the other computer in my network connect to the internet through this computer” it keep saying :”others computers cannot connect to the internet through this computer”. What is the problem actually?

Q. I have a HP D1460 Deskjet for which i have 2 pc’s. (both of these computers share an ADSL gateway). I would like to connect this printer to one of these pc’s and be able to print something off from the other one. I would also like to be able to access the other computers files from the other pc. Any help with this please?

Q. I connect to the internet trough a adsl modem . I added a router so I can connect to pcs on a home network. Sinds I conected the router I can not surf the net. The home network works fine but can not connect to the net. Is there settings that has to be changed at the router or the modem?

Q. My friend has an ADSL internet connection from BT and He decided to share his internet connection with me. Therefore I am looking to get a good router but I am confused about the diffrence between ADSL and DSL Cable routers. Can I use a cable router to share the internet?
